Noor: Movie Review
We have had enough of women-centric films in 2016, isn’t it? Where films like Neerja came out victorious there were others like Akira that scarred the women-centric film genre.
Well, Sonakshi Sinha came forward once again with another woman-centric flick. Though you won’t feel disgusted like you did after watching Akira; Noor is no good either.
Based on the story of a journalist namely Noor Roy Choudhary played by Sonakshi Sinha, the film revolves around her messy life. The overweight chubby girl who is always nagging about her work life is finally seen on a mission that can lead her to her dream job. The ups and downs of her life during her mission will mostly take her away from her loved ones but as soon as the viewers feel that her life is getting back on track, BOOM! We get to see her love life.
The unnecessary love angle between a somehow bearable plot makes the film fall flat at the end. Sonakshi Sinha has pulled the character in the best possible way. Actors like Kanan Gill and Shibani Dandekar look promising and you will want to see them grab bigger chances in their next films. Smita Tambe has done a commendable job and you will definitely mention her while discussing the film.
The item song at the end of the film with Sonakshi Sinha dancing in a short dress is something you won’t relate to after seeing her in the Noor avatar for about 2 hours. 😀
Well, have a look here:
