Meri Pyaari Bindu: Movie Review
Don’t we just too much out of actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra? Yes, they have done commendable jobs in their previous films and we can’t really forget Ayushmann’s Vicky Donor but since then he hasn’t really got a chance to play a challenging role.
Meri Pyaari Bindu is a rom-com and it is definitely not going to keep you glued to your seats. Okay, it isn’t an unbearable film too but there is nothing great about the film. Ayushmann is playing the role of a story writer who opines that writing a horror story requires greater skill than that required to pen a love story.
Stuck with an incomplete love story since three years Bubla (Ayushmann) is ditched by his neighbour cum friend Bindu (Parineeti). Bindu has fled to pursue her career in music leaving Bubla stuck with the unfinished love story for which he has already taken an advance from the publisher.
Well, I am not here to unveil the rest of the story to you because that’s the only reason you will head to the theatres to watch this otherwise not-so-attractive film.
The duo looks good and fresh as a pair and the movie is good when it comes to the romantic side but it falls flat on every other ground. There is nothing concrete in the storyline or the characterisation and you will not feel connected to the film. Critics have given mixed reviews for Meri Pyaari Bindu and viewers are not finding it phenomenally great. We have had time-pass films in the past too, so why not watch it for a little bit of time-pass 😛
You can go for it if you wish to spend some time with your better half on a Sunday evening but don’t forget to grab a tub of popcorn.
Till then, watch out for this amazing song by the duo:
